After the latest demonstration of the E-Cat on 6th October in Bologna, Rossi stated that there have been enough tests on the device and the most conclusive test will be the production plant that will operate 24/7 and be an incontestable proof of E-Cat’s efficiency.
The tests in Bologna focused on 3 hours of the device operating in self sustaining mode. The attendants were able to observe, measure and operate the E-Cat and they shared their enthusiasm.
Temperature curves of the device in self sustaining mode were available for their review. As they were all qualified, objective observers, no doubt of the device being a fraud is left.
Rossi explained on his blog the inner structure of the E-Cat that has been kept secret until now.
The outer container of the device is filled with water and the core reactor is waterproof and tightly encased.
The water tank has 20 x 20 x 4 cm dimensions and a volume of 30 liters. It has attached steel wings that have the role of exchanging the thermal energy produced by the reactor.
Water is pumped inside the water tank by a pump with a debit of 15 liters per hour. When water meets the steel wings, it turns to vapors and exits the container at the upper end as steam output.
After the operation of the E-Cat stopped and the system was cooled, the participants could disassemble the device and observe that the outside case was a water tank. This would get the hypothesis of a combustion reaction out of the question, as no fuel mixed with water would be able to burn.
Considering the volume of the outside box, filling it with water would require 2 hours of pump operation. But while the tank was filled up, the reactor already started producing energy, and the water began evaporating. The effect of the fusor energy device is observable even before the water tank is full, in less than 2 hours.
